To reduce the content of inorganic minerals by making microorganisms act on vegetable raw materials or carbonized ones to solving out metal contents and remove it.
By making microorganisms such as Bacillus subtilis, Rhizopus arrhizus and Thiothrix Strain act on vegetable raw materials or their carbides obtained by the preliminary carbonization of vegetable raw materials in a heated state at 300-800°C (preferably at 400-700°C) under vacuum or in an inert gas atmosphere and then by the leaching treatment, carbonized vegetable raw materials having the inorganic mineral content of 0.1-5.0 wt.% are obtained. Carbon materials are obtained by processing the carbonized vegetable raw materials as follows: heating the carbonized vegetable raw materials up to 700-3,000°C (preferably 800-2,000°C) at ≥1°C/min (preferably ≥3°C/min) heating rate under vacuum or in an inert gas atmosphere and then retaining the product for 0-10 h. (preferably 0-7 h.).
