Abstract:
PURPOSE: To highly efficiently in high yield with no catalyst using readily available raw materials the subject compound useful as e.g. an intermediate for catalysts, medicines and agrochemicals, by reaction between difluoroacetyl fluoride and bromine under light irradiation.
CONSTITUTION: This compound is obtained by reaction between difluoroacetyl fluoride and bromine under light irradiation. In the reaction, it is preferable that light wavelength be ≥280nm and the surface of a transparent wall through which the light is introduced with the reaction product coming into contact therewith be provided with a protective layer of e.g. a transparent fluororesin.
