PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing a calcium silicate board without causing delamination, interlaminar cracking or surface layer blistering.
CONSTITUTION: A step for increasing the temperature in a pressure vessel from 100 to 150°C under conditions such that the area surrounded by a saturated steam pressure curve (A and B) and a pressure curve (C and D) in the pressure vessel may be 1-8hr.kg/cm2 is carried out and hydrothermal reaction is then performed under conditions of a prescribed saturated steam thereafter to dry the resultant product in a method for producing a calcium silicate board comprising steps for subjecting an uncured calcium silicate board formed from a raw material slurry containing a calcareous raw material and a siliceous raw material at a prescribed ratio to the hydrothermal reaction in the pressure vessel. The bulk density of the calcium silicate board is ≤1.0g/cm3.
