Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase relative density by successively subjecting CaS powder to press molding and cold isostatic press molding and by sintering the resulting molded body in an inert gaseous atmosphere contg. gaseous H2S.

CONSTITUTION: CaS powder is filled into a metal mold and successively subjected to press molding under 50-200kg/cm2 pressure and cold isostatic press molding under ≥800kg/cm2 pressure to obtain a molded body. This molded body is sintered at ≥1,300°C in an inert gaseous atmosphere contg. gaseous H2S.
