Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a cation exchange membrane with excellent cation selective permeability, electrical properties, chemical resistance and mechanical strength by impregnating a perfluorocarbon polymer membrane having sulfonic acid groups with a diene derivative and partially polymerizing the impregnated membrane after which the partially polymerized membrane is swollen in an org. solvent and heat treated.
