PURPOSE: To obtain the title compd. having antibacterial activity by reacting two kinds of specific compds. in the presence of an amine to treat a reaction mixture with a salt of a base and reacting a precipitate with sodium 2- ethylhexanoate.
CONSTITUTION: 7-amino-3-(2,5-dihydro-6-hydroxy-2-methyl-5-oxo-1,2,4-triazin-3-yl) thiomethyl-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid and 2-mercaptobenzotriazole 2-(2- aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-syn-aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-syn-methoxyiminoacetate are reacted at -20-30°C in the presence of an amine such as methylamine, ethylamine, 1,4-dimethylpiperadine or pyridine in an aq. soln. of an org. solvent and the aq. soln. is treated with a salt of a base such as dicyclohexyamine and a precipitate is reacted with sodium 2-ethylhexanoate to obtain the objective compd.
