Title:
PRODUCTION OF CELLULOSIC ARTICLE FROM N-METHYLMORPHOLINE-N-OXIDE AND CELLULOSE SOLUTION IN WATER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06108305
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent fiber characteristics of a cellulosic article from being damaged even if the NMMO (N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide) concentration in a precipitating bath is raised by specifying the temperature of the precipitating bath in an NMMO method.

CONSTITUTION: A cellulose is dissolved in NMMO and water, and the cellulose is precipitated in a precipitating bath including the water and the NMMO. When the temperature of the precipitating bath is held at most at 0°C, the mechanical characteristics of a woven fabric of the fiber is not damaged even if the concentration of the NMMO in the precipitating bath is increased to ≥40%.
