Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a ceramic honeycomb structure having deceased rib twist and edge deformation of a honeycomb structure caused by the thermal deformation of a baking table and resultant edge crack generation, effective for prolonging the life of the baking table and decreasing the dimensional difference between the top and the bottom of the honeycomb structure.
CONSTITUTION: A green ceramic honeycomb structure us baked by placing the cell opening end of the honeycomb structure 1 on a ceramic plate 3 composed mainly of heat-resistant inorganic fiber and having a bulk density of ≥1.00g/cm3.
