Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a producing method of a ceramic mortuary tablet.
CONSTITUTION: Letters like posthumous Buddhist names are written on a unglazed material 1 formed to form a mortuary tablet and the porcelain is applied with a transparent glaze 3 on the whole face. The porcelain is placed on a base 4 made of a molding of fire-proof clay and then covered with heat-proof glass 5. Then, it is inserted into a cremator to produce a ceramic mortuary tablet 1' by calcination together with cremation.
