Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing ceramic products which is capable of shortening the time required for drying and obviates the occurrence of cracks of blanks, etc.
SOLUTION: This process for producing the ceramic products consists in extrusion molding the blank, forming the extrusion molded blank by cutting and drying the blank after the molding, then firing the same, in which the extrusion molded blank is dried to regulate the moisture content of the blank to 5 to 12% and thereafter the blank of the moisture content is formed by cutting. The process for production is suitable for production of solid insulators in particular.
