PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing a ceramic product, capable of shortening a raw material-kneading process and a molded product-defatting process, of widely shortening the whole time for producing the product, of reducing the generation of detects such as cracks in the production process even in the case of large products and of largely improving the productivity and quality of the products.
CONSTITUTION: A ceramic product is produced by mixing the powder of raw materials for the ceramic with an organic binder, molding the mixture into a prescribed shape, defatting the molded product and subsequently sintering the defatted product. In the production method, a thermosetting resin is used as the organic binder, and the molded product is heated at 120-200°C within one hr to harden the molded product. Passageways for evaporating the organic binder contained in the molded product are formed in the molded product, and subsequently the molded product is defatted and sintered.
