Title:
PRODUCTION OF CERAMIC SUPERCONDUCTIVE MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS649860
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a ceramic superconductive material of increased theoretical density with improved properties such as critical temperature and critical current density by hot-pressing a calcined feedstock powder of rare earth metal element- alkaline earth metal element-noble metal element-oxygen system at a prescribed temperature under a prescribed pressure.

CONSTITUTION: A feedstock of R-A-M-O system (R is at least one selected from Y and lanthanoid rare earth metal elements; A is alkaline earth metal element; M is noble metal element; O is oxygen) is calcinated and crushed. The resultant powder 1 is placed in a dice 3 in the hot press chamber 2. Then, the powder is pressurized with a couple of punches 4 and heated with the coil 5 at 800W1,000°C under over 500kgf/cm2 to give the objective ceramic superconductive material. This process can compress the ceramic superconductive material to the theoretical density.
