Abstract:
To provide an alternative method of producing chitin and chitosan without depending on chemical materials harmful to the environment or many fluctuations in harvesting crustaceans.
This invention relates to a method of producing chitin or chitosan by cultivating Rhizopus azygosporus or Actinomucor taiwanensis and separating chitosan or chitin from the aforesaid cultivation medium.
