PURPOSE: To produce a highly clean precision cast product by sucking up molten metal from the center upper part of a molten metal column after removing non-metallic inclusion in the molten metal by using electromagnetic force and pouring the molten metal.
CONSTITUTION: In the cold crucible type high frequency induction melting crucible 1, the bar of the melting base metal 5 is inserted from the bottom and levitation melting is executed to the metal 5 in the inert gas atmosphere. By utilizing circular flow of the molten metal generated by the electromagnetic force in the formed molten metal column 6, nonmetallic inclusion 7 existing in the molten metal is conc. around the base part as scum 8 and removed. Thereafter, by inserting a snout 3 into the center upper part of the molten metal column 6, the molten metal is sucked up and poured into a ceramic shell mold 2. As the material for the snout 3, a metal having m.p. higher than that of the casting metal is used. By this method, the product having high reliability and long service life can be obtd.
