PURPOSE: To provide the process for production of the cleaning blade for a copying machine capable of producing the highly accurate cleaning blade and efficiently producing the cleaning blade by decreasing a crop rate from a sheet material.
CONSTITUTION: A pellet-shaped thermoplastic resin is charged into a hopper. This thermoplastic resin is extruded by a plunger to a heating section to form a molten state resin 5. This molten state resin 5 is extruded from plural pieces of runners 6 and gates 7 into a cavity 11 of a prescribed shape segmented by cavity plates 8, 9 and a cavity piece 10, by which the cleaning blade is produced. The runners 6 and plural pieces of the gates 7 are constructed by forming plural pieces of the runners 6 at prescribed intervals at a nozzle 12 for the molten state resin 5 and forming the gates 7 communicating with the inside of the cavity 11 of a small diameter at the front ends of these runners 6.
