PURPOSE: To obtain clothes-wadding having excellent heat retaining properties by laminating a fibrous web layer containing split fiber comprising jointed plural ultrathin fibers and another fibrous web layer comprising specific rigid fiber and uniting with applying high-pressure columnar flow.

CONSTITUTION: Plural ultrathin fibers composed of polyamide or polyester, etc., are joined and contained in a fibrous web A layer, then laminated with a fibrous web B layer composed of rigid fiber of polyamide fiber or highly crimped polyester fiber, etc., having large average denier at least 1.0 denier larger than average denier of the above-mentioned ultrathin fiber to form a fibrous web. Next, high-pressure columnar flow is applied to said laminated web using an orifice hole having fine diameter to divide the ultrathin fiber in the above-mentioned split fiber and simultaneously said ultrathin fiber is joined with said rigid fiber, then the above-mentioned A layer is united with the B layer to afford the aimed clothes-wadding.
