To provide a process for producing a coated sheet with surface protective materials by efficiently providing the surfaces of smooth top clear layers with the removable surface protective materials without the generation of air bubbles and the adhesion of dust in a coating stage.
The surface of a base material 15 heated to about 60°C in a heating section 6 are subjected to decorative coating by a transfer process using a pair of heating and press bonding rolls 4a, 4b for transfer heated to about 160° and are subjected to the formation of the decorative layers. UV curing type resin coating materials for forming the top clear layers are applied on the film-like surface protective materials. The applied UV curing type resin coating materials and the decorative layers on the base material 15 described above are joined. The entire part is heated and press bonded by the heating rolls 5a, 5b to integrate the base material 15, the decorative layers, the UV curing type resin coating materials and the surface protective materials. These materials are then irradiated with UV rays in a UV irradiation section 7 to cure the UV curing type resin coating material, by which the top clear layers are formed.
