PURPOSE: To improve the uniformity of deep drawability in the coil including the head and the tail end of the coil and also to improve yield by limiting respective contents of solid-solution C and N in a low carbon Al killed steel and controlling cooling velocity after hot rolling and coiling temp., respectively.
CONSTITUTION: A steel, having a composition consisting of, by weight ratio, 0.015-0.035% C, ≤0.2% Mn, ≤0.08% P, 0.010-0.100% Al, ≤0.003% N, (11/14)×N(%) to 0.30ppm B, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, is used. This steel is hot-rolled and the average cooling rate from the completion of hot rolling to coiling is regulated to ≥30°C/S, and the resultant hot rolled steel plate is coiled at a temp. in the low temp. range between 450 and 360°C. Then, cold rolling is performed, and continuous annealing is applied to the resultant sheet at a temp. not lower than the recrystallization temp. Moreover, it is more desirable, for the purpose of attaining the formation of proper amounts of cementite nuclei, to regulate the cooling rate from the completion of hot rolling to coiling to (40 to 80)°C/S.
