PURPOSE: To produce safe collagen powder, by immersing skined pigskin from which attached fatty acids are removed in warm water at 50W70°C for 1W3min, mechanically removing big hair and thinly cut the pigskin into ≤5mm.

CONSTITUTION: A fat layer attached to skined pigskin is mechanically removed, the pigskin is immersed in warm water at 50W70°C for 1W3min, pig hair is mechanically removed and further the pigskin is thinly cut into ≤5mm. Then, 1 thinly cut pigskin is blended with ≥2 warm water at ≥30°C and stirred for ≥15min to separate fats. The defatted pigskin is mechanically dehydrated, heated at lowest 50W120°C by stages and dried until water content becomes ≤9wt%. The dried pigskin is cooled to ≤40°C and ground by a grinder into 10W100 meshes to give collagen powder.
