PURPOSE: To stabilize a dyeing step and to improve yield of the production of the color filter by letting flow-down and diffusing a dyeing solution on the material to be dyed mounted on the fixing platen to color it, thereby preventing the sticking of dust to the material to be dyed.

CONSTITUTION: The material to be dyed 7 is mounted on the fixing platen 8. The dyeing solution of the storage tank 1 is heated with the heating apparatus 6, and the dyeing solution of the tank 1 is fed to a spray nozzle 4 via a filter 3 by means of a circulating pump 2. The dyeing solution is sprayed by the nozzle 4 to color the material 7 to be dyed. Thus, the sticking of the dust to the surface of the material 7 to be dyed is prevented, thereby stabilizing the dyeing step and improving the yield of the production of the color filter.
