Abstract:

To provide a process for producing color filters capable of efficiently using an ink jet head.

This method consists in forming colored parts by discharging ink from plural ink discharge nozzles to individual pixels while relatively scanning a body to be colored, on which the plural pixels to be driven with the ink are previously arrayed, by the ink jet head having the plural ink discharge nozzles. At this time, the method includes a stage for stopping the discharge of the ink from a defective nozzle (No.5 nozzle) if part of the nozzle among the plural ink discharge nozzles ought to discharge the ink to the individual pixels is a defective nozzle and a stage for making up the insufficiency of the ink amt. within the N-th pixel by not using the defective nozzle with another nozzles (Nos.3, 7 nozzles) ought to discharge the ink to the pixels.
