PURPOSE: To produce a combined type high damping alloy having excellent vibration damping characteristic and the desired composition by casting semi- melting metal slurry composing of solid phase and molten metal.

CONSTITUTION: The alloy composing of ≥ two elements melted is charged in a vessel 1 and stirred with a rotating blade 2 and cooled. By this method, the semi-melting metal slurry uniformly dispersing the solid phase in the molten metal 5 is formed. By opening a stopper 6, the semi-melting metal slurry is cast into a metallic mold 8 from a molten metal discharging hole 7. By this method, the combined type high damping alloy having excellent high damping characteristic and the desired composition, can be produced.
