Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition useful for foods, medicines, etc., inexpensively, simply and efficiently by cooling milk whey, adding Ca, etc., treating under a specific condition and removing generated precipitate.
CONSTITUTION: Milk whey is cooled, mixed with Ca and/or Mg, adjusted to pH 6-9, heated and retained at 40-60°C and formed precipitate is removed by ultrafiltration using ≥1μm pore diameter to give the objective composition.
