To provide both a method for producing a composting material by which the costs required for auxiliary materials are reduced and the fermentation of an organic material- containing waste can completely be carried out within a short time and an apparatus therefor.
This method for producing a composting material is to mix auxiliary materials 6 having a low moisture content with an organic material-containing waste containing water, then ferment the resultant mixture and subsequently separate the auxiliary materials 6 from the mixture after the fermentation. Furthermore, the method is to carry out the drying treatment of the auxiliary materials 6 separated from the mixture after the fermentation and reutilize the auxiliary materials 6 after the drying treatment as the auxiliary materials 6 remixed with the organic material-containing waste. The apparatus is equipped with a mixing means 4 for mixing the auxiliary materials 6 with the organic material-containing waste, a fermenting means 7 for fermenting the mixture mixed with the mixing means 4 and a separating means 8 for separating the auxiliary materials 6 from the mixture after the fermentation. The apparatus is further provided with a drying treatment means 10 for performing the drying treatment of the auxiliary materials 6 separated from the mixture after the fermentation and an auxiliary material feeding means 11 for feeding the auxiliary material 6 after undergoing the drying treatment with the drying treatment means 10 to the mixing means 4.
