Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a concentrated bitumen coated material by coating a granular material with a bitumen emulsion.
This emulsion comprises a mixture of two kinds of emulsions of (1) an emulsion (low-speed emulsion) produced by using a cationic or nonionic emulsifying agent for providing an emulsion having a slow dissociation and (2) an emulsion (high-speed emulsion) produced by using a cationic emulsifying agent for providing an emulsion having a quick dissociation. In this case, advantageously the high-speed emulsion is a soft bitumen emulsion and the low-speed emulsion is a hard bitumen emulsion.
