Abstract:

PURPOSE:To produce a condensed resin particle dispersion excellent in the dispersion stability by reacting an aldehyde with a compd. condensable with the aldehyde in a specific dispersion medium. CONSTITUTION:A polyether having at least one active hydrogen group or a mixture thereof with a low molecular active hydrogen compd. contg. at least one active hydrogen group is reacted with an org. polyisocyanate (e.g. tolylene diisocyanate) to produce an isocyanate-modified polyester having no free isocyanate group. The resulting isocyanate-modified polyether is mixed with a polyether polyol to give a dispersion medium, in which a compd. (e.g. phenol or melamine) condensable with an aldehyde is reacted with the aldehyde or a precondensate thereof to precipitate fine particles of a condensation resin. Thus, a condensed resin dispersion is produced.
