PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing method for a round cast billet which eliminates porosity and solidified structure, improves the internal quality of the cast billet and fully prevents the inner flaw at the time of pipe-making.
SOLUTION: The producing method of the continuously cast billet for seamless steel pipe is provided with a process for producing the round cast billet by continuously casting the steel containing ≥0.5wt.% Cr into a mold 1 having round cross section, a process for applying the rolling reduction with the first roll stands 31, 32, 3n of a horizontal rolling mill having one pair V type rolls and pinch roll group 3 arranged in the continuous caster and a process for approaching the cross section of the round cast billet to the round shape by applying the rolling reduction with the second roll stands and after roll stands of a vertical rolling mill having one pair of flat rolls or rolls with round corner and the pinch roll group arranged in the continuous caster.
