To obtain the subject material in a large amount and at a low cost, good in flow property on heating, excellent in molding property, having the same or higher quality characteristic than that of a natural cork and useful as a floor material, etc., by using plural olefinic resins as a resin composition constituting the granular body.

This cork-like material contains (A) two kinds of olefinic resins, (B) a foaming agent and (C) a coloring agent, and is obtained by blending at least one or more kinds of different resins to prepare plural kinds of resin compositions as the component (A), forming each of the resin compositions to granular bodies separately, cross-linking one of the resin compositions composing each of the granular bodies in a higher degree than that of the other resin composition, blending each of the cross-linked granular bodies at a prescribed ratio, spreading the obtained cross-linked granular mixture on a planar body, melting and adhering the granular bodies each other by heating for foaming, and forming as a sheet-like material. Further, e.g. it is preferable to use a polypropylene as one resin of the component (A), a high density polyethylene as another resin of the component (A) and a silane-modified polypropylene as a cross-linking resin.
