Title:
PRODUCTION OF CRUDE ZINC OXIDE SINTERED ORE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3250331
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain the sintered ores having the crushing load equiv. to the crushing load in the case of calcination at a high temp. so as to obtain the sintered ores, many of which have 5 to 7mm grain sizes desirable as the sintered ore by executing calcination at a low temp.
CONSTITUTION: The total of the PbO, Fe2O3 and SiO2 in crude zinc oxide dust is ≥5 to <15wt.% in the case of production of the pelletized crude zinc oxide sintered ores by pelletizing, drying and calcining the crude zinc oxide dust in a rotary kiln. Any ≥1 kinds among PbO-contg. materials, Fe2O3-contg. materials and SiO2-contg. materials are added to the crude zinc oxide dust to adjust the dust and the dust is calcined at ≥870°C in such a manner that the molar ratios of the PbO:Fe2O3:SiO2 in a mole % ternary diagram of the PbO-Fe2O3-SiO2 are kept within a range of a triangular shape obtd. by connecting three points; 2:0:3, 8:1:1, 1:3:1.
