Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a crystalline grain refined alloy having a uniform crystalline grain diameter.
CONSTITUTION: A partially solidified alloy 9a is supplied into a housing 3 provided with an agitator 10 and agitated at a high speed by the agitator 10, the agitated partially solidified alloy is sprayed from the outlet 12 of the housing 3 as it is a partially solidified state by using the flow due to the high speed agitation, the atomized alloy 9a is then passed through the temp.-controlled region while controlling the temp. of the region extending from the outlet 12 of the housing 13 to a recovery vessel 5, and the crystalline grain refined alloy 9 is produced.
