To provide an economical method for producing cyclohexene in a simple operation using cylcohexane as a raw material by circulating reaction components effectively and not requiring a needless separating operation.
This method for producing cyclohexene is constituted by the following processes. (1): A process of simultaneously supplying a partially hydrogenated reaction product obtained by partially hydrogenating benzene in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst and containing cyclohexane, cyclohexene and benzene, and cyclohexane to a tower individually, flowing out a mixture rich in cyclohexane and benzene (azeotropic mixture) from the top of the tower and obtaining cyclohexene from the bottom of the tower, (2): A dehydrogenation process for performing a dehydrogenation reaction of the mixture obtained in the process (1) and rich in cyclohexane and benzene in the presence of a dehydrogenation catalyst to obtain a dehydrogenation product consisting essentially of benzene, (3): A process of partially hydrogenation the dehydrogenation reaction product obtained by the process (2) in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst, and (4): A process for recycling the partially hydrogenated product obtained by the process (3) into the process (1) and distilling.
