Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a cycloolefin polymer excellent in heat and weathering stabilities.
CONSTITUTION: A solvent containing a phenolic antioxidant and/or a phosphite antioxidant is used as the solvent in the production or purification of a cycloolefin (co)polymer of a monomer of the formula (wherein R1 to R12 are each hydrogen, a 1-10C hydrocarbon group, halogen or an monovalent organic group) or a hydrogenation product of this (co)polymer.
