To obtain a decorative element of sharp shape with good designability such as a Wappen by mutually superposing a transparent carrier sheet, a thick pattern-forming resin sheet and a thermoadhesive sheet followed by hot-pressing the above sheets from above with a pattern mold.

This decorative element is obtained according to the following procedure: a transparent resin carrier sheet, a thick pattern-forming resin sheet such as a urethane resin sheet 0.8-1.2 mm thick, and a thermoadhesive sheet such as a hot-melt sheet, are mutually superposed in the descending order followed by hot-pressing these sheets from above with a pattern mold to effect melting the pattern-forming resin sheet and the pattern peripheral portion of the thermoadhesive sheet to mold the pattern portion; concurrently, the above respective sheets are subjected to thermobonding at the remaining pattern portion to effect unification.
