Abstract:

To efficiently defoam a gypsum slurry during the slurry is carried and to promote both of carrying and defoaming of the gypsum slurry.

This lightweight gypsum building material is produced by mixing a gypsum slurry in a mixer, introducing the slurry onto a conveyer, and then forming the slurry. A defoaming process is carried out before the gypsum slurry is introduced onto the conveyer. The defoaming process is carried out by reducing the pressure while the slurry is vibrated. The pressure reduction zone is formed by dividing a space with sheathering boards. The sheathering board consists of a flexible member.
