Title:
PRODUCTION OF DEFORMED COMPOSITE HEAT RESISTANT ALLOY MEMBER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5562103
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily produce deformed composite members possessing high temperature resistance and high corrosion resistance at the same time, by covering the core member made of cast heat resistant alloy of specified shape with a corrosion resistant alloy power of higher Cr content than that of core member by the hot hydrostatic press method.

CONSTITUTION: When fabricating turbine blades from said deformed composite members, a core member 1 preliminarily cast in a shape similar to the blade with ordinary heat resistant alloy is disposed in a container 2 of a specified shape having a thermal plasticity, such as mild steel and glass. The space between the container 2 and core member 1 is filled with an alloy powder 3 excelling in high temperature and corrosion resistance, having a higher Cr content than the core member 1, and the core member 1 is surrounded by the alloy powder 3. In this state, the container 2 is degassed and sealed, and put in a high temperature, high pressure furnace to be treated by the hot hydrostatic pressing method under high temperature and high pressure by the known method, then the container 2 is released. As a result, deformed composite alloy members of which outer surface is densely covered with an alloy excelling in heat and corrosion resistance may be obtained.
