To produce an economical dental implement solving such a problem that abrasive grains are embedded over the entire part of a polishing mass to relatively increase the cost by providing a tool shaft with a holding layer, then providing this holding layer with a polishing layer contg. the abrasive grains when producing the dental implement having a rubber elastic mass sealed with the abrasive grains.
The implement shaft 2 of the dental implement 1 connected to the handpiece of the dental therapeutic device is provided with the holding layer 3 coating the adequate polishing layer 4. Only the polishing layer 4 is used for polishing and the holding layer 3 is not used for polishing. Accordingly the abrasive grain quantity of diamond abrasive grains, etc., can be decreased. Namely, the relatively thin polishing layer 4 is provided with the abrasive grains. At this time, the holding layer 3 consists of the same rubber elastic material as the polishing layer 4 and solves the problem of the case both these layers 3, 4 are adhered. At the time of production, the surface of the implement shaft 2 is first coated with the holding layer 3, i.e., a non-packed rubber core by injection molding and in succession, the surface of the holding layer 3 is coated with the thinner polishing layer 4 by molding press.
