Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a complete denture and partial denture with high accuracy at a low cost by inserting a denture foundation material consisting of deformable plastic into the patient's mouth and fitting the material into the jaw, the previously curing the photosetting plastic foundation material and taking out the material.
SOLUTION: The pretreated denture foundation material aligns with the toothless upper jaw or the lower jaw. The denture foundation material is adequately polymethyl methacrylate/methyl methacrylate, etc., and is deformable and photosettable. The denture foundation material is cured by using a photosetting device within the patient's mouth and after the material is taken out of the mouth, the material is mounted into an articulator 10 to which the denture foundation material is adapted. The upper part of the articulator 10 has a supporting plate 12 and houses a central fixing device 14. The supporting plate 12 is movably disposed, by which the mounting of the denture foundation materials of different sizes is improved. The teeth are fixed by another material, such as silicon or plaster, to the denture foundation member after the final alignment.
