Abstract:
PURPOSE: To economically obtain a desulfurizing agent having a high degree of desulfurization in a simple system by previously heat-treating coal ashes and thereafter heating the same while mixing it with calcium compound and water.
CONSTITUTION: Coal ashes A is heat-treated in a fluidized bed 1 at 600-1100°C and thereafter sent to a curing device 3 and heated while mixing it with calcium compound B and water C. This mixture is heated at the prescribed temperature and time and the obtained desulfurizing agent D is discharged from a line 6. In a method for desulfurizing and treating exhaust gas, the temperature of exhaust gas is lowered by an air heater and introduced into a desulfurization tower. The desulfurization agent D is atomized in a flue or into the desulfurization tower and supplied and allowed to react with acidic harmful substance contained in the exhaust gas. At this time, the temperature of the exhaust gas is lowered by atomizing water into the flue or the desulfurization tower and the humidity is preferably increased. Further at least one kind selected from among slaked lime, quick lime, bentonite, calcium sulfite and calcium sulfate is used as calcium compound B.
