PURPOSE: To produce a highly precise carrier tape at a high speed, by photographing feeding holes formed by adjacent two intermittent actuations by means of two cameras and computing the dimension between the feeding holes on the basis of the image signal and controlling the feeder mechanism so that the dimension gets to a specified distance.
CONSTITUTION: An embossing mold device 20 forming recesses 7a on a tape T, a punch metal mold 30 to form feeding holes, and a measuring device 40 provided with two sets of video cameras 41, 42 are arranged in this order between a tape supply mechanism and a feeder device 50 intermittently actuated specified cycle to draw a plastic tape by ever specified length. A feeding hole formed at a cycle and another feeding hole formed in the subsequent cycle and the recess Ta are photographed. The dimension between adjacent feeding holes and the dimension between the recesses are measured on the basis of the image signals obtained and the drawing length of the tape in the feeder device 50 and the traveling direction of the tape are adjusted so that respective dimensions coincide with specified lengths.
