Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a diolefin polymer having excellent wear resistance, tensile strength, etc., and low rolling resistance and being desirable to use for tires by polymerizing a conjugated diolefin in the presence of two specified initiators in a hydrocarbon solvent.
CONSTITUTION: A conjugated diolefin or a mixture of 55-100wt.% conjugated diolefin with 45-0wt.% aromatic vinyl compound is polymerized in a hydrocarbon solvent in the presence of an initiator comprising a reaction product between a sec. amine compound selected from among a compound of formula I, a compound of formula II, 5-benzyloxyindole, etc., and an organolithium compound in a molar ratio of 1: (0.2-5) and/or a lithium amide compound derived by replacing the H atom of the =NH group of the sec. amine compound by Li and an initiator comprising a reaction product between an alcohol selected from among compounds of formulas III, IV, V, VI and VII and an organolithium compound in a molar ratio of 1:(0.8-5) and/or a compound derived by replacing the H atom of the -OH group of the alcohol by Li.
