Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a disazo pigment which gives a printing ink having excellent flow characteristics, by coupling a tetrazotized 3,3'-dichlorobenzidine with acetoacetanilide and anthranilic acid.
CONSTITUTION: Hydrochloric acid is added to 3,3'-dichlorobenzidine to disperse it. An aq. soln. of NaNO2 is added thereto to tetrazotize it, thus obtaining a tetrazo product (A) of 3,3'-dichlorobenzidine. 99.5W50mol% acetoacetanilide (e.g., acetoacetanilide) and 0.5W50mol% anthranilic acid are dissolved in an aq. soln. of NaOH. Acetic acid is added thereto to precipitate a crystal, thus obtaining a grounder (B). The component A is coupled with the component B.
