PURPOSE: To obtain a disk which makes only the part having good circular accuracy in outer peripheral flange the fitting part with a rim, by removing the periphery of arc-state cut-off part, which develops harmful wrinkle by concentrating excess material.

CONSTITUTION: After squeeze-forming a round corner rectangular blank composed of metallic plate material of steel plate, aluminum alloy plate, etc., the disk 2 executing boring work for hub holes 6, bolt holes 7, etc., is manufactured. The periphery of arc-state cut-off part 4 formed in outer peripheral flange by squeeze-forming, is removed with the process after squeeze-forming. By this method, the disk, which makes only the part having good circular accuracy in the outer peripheral flange the fitting part with the rim, is obtd. Further, by concentrating the excess material to the periphery of arc-state cut-off part and removing this, the weight possible to be reduced is large in comparison with the removing area, and efficient lightening is achieved.
