To provide a method for producing an electroconductive, highly crosslinked molded article with a reduced moisture content.
This method for producing an electroconductive crosslinked molded article comprises extruding an electroconductive composition comprising a polyolefin-based resin, an unsaturated silane compound, carbon black and an organic peroxide at 100-150°C, followed by heating at 160-240°C. The simultaneous utilization of two kinds of crosslinking systems, i.e., a silane crosslinking and an organic peroxide crosslinking can lower the moisture content of the molded article and increase the degree of crosslinking, because the water formed by a side reaction of the decomposition residues of the organic peroxide is consumed by the silane crosslinking. The electroconductive composition is prepared by blending 0.5-3.0 pts.wt. of the unsaturated silane compound, 10-80 pts.wt. or the carbon black and 1.0-3.0 pts.wt. of the organic peroxide with 100 pts.wt. of the polyolefin-based resin.
