Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce an electrode board for battery at a low cost by generating suction force in a groove part of a mold with a suction means to stick molten alloy on the groove part, solidifying the stuck molten alloy and separating the obtd. formed body from the mold.
SOLUTION: At the time of bringing the molten alloy 2 spouted upward with the suction pump 3 into contact with a cylindrical mold 10, the molten alloy 2 is sucked to the groove part 12. At the upper part of the cylindrical mold 10, cooling showers 5 for spraying cooling water at 20°C onto the cylindrical mold 10, are arranged. The cylindrical mold 10 is rotated, and when the stuck molten alloy 2 reaches the upper part, the molten alloy 2 is cooled at 100-150°C by spraying the cooling water and solidified. The solidified alloy is separated from the cylindrical mold 10 with a separating part 4 to obtain a board sheet 8 having the shape corresponding to the groove part 12. Thereafter, a lead powder paste as active material is applied on the surface of the board sheet 8 and cut off to a prescribed length to obtain the electrode board for battery.
