Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for an anti-pollution measure in waste water treatment, etc., and to provide a durable offset printing plate enhanced in performance and reliability.
CONSTITUTION: An amorphous-silicon charge generating layer 3 and a charge- transfer layer 4 decomposable by UV irradiation are successively laminated on a conductive substrate 2 to form a printing plate material 1, and the material 1 is formed into an offset printing plate by the following processes A to E. Namely, the material 1 is charged and exposed to form an electrostatic latent image in the process A, the material 1 having the latent image is developed to form a toner picture part in the process B, the developed material is fixed in the process C, the fixed material is irradiated with UV to decompose and remove the charge-transfer layer region positioned in the non-picture part except the toner picture part in the process D, and the amorphous-silicon charge generating layer of which charge-transfer layer region is decomposed and removed is exposed to a corona discharge in the process E.
