Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce an electroplated steel sheet having an excellent pressing property and surface quality providing the inside of a washing equipment after plating in an electroplated steel sheet production line with edge grinders and disposing a surface flaw detector before an outlet side looper.
CONSTITUTION: A steel sheet coil is supplied from a delivery reel 1 to a line and is sent via an inlet side looper 2 to pretreating equipment 3 and a plating cell 4 where this coil is subjected to plating. The plated coil is sent to washing equipment 5. The edge grinders, of a brush roll type are arranged in a washing zone to grind both edges of the plated steel sheet. The plated sheet is then sent via chromating equipment 6, coater equipment 7 and an oven 8 to the outlet side looper 10 at need. At this time, the surface flaw detector 9 and an operator inspection zone 11 are disposed before and behind the outlet side looper 10. The accurate inspection is executed by the surface flaw detector 9. As a result, the plated steel sheet having the quality equivalent to or better than the quantity of the conventional plated steel sheets is produced without passing the steel sheet to another line.
