Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of efficiently producing toners having a small grain size and narrow grain size distribution in a process for producing the electrostatic charge image developing toners by a suspension polymn. method.
SOLUTION: This process consists of a stage for dispersing and mixing coloring agents into a soln., which is prepd. by dissolving a polymerizable monomer into a hydrophilic, org. solvent, and passing the soln. through the inside of porous glass having fine pares, then producing an emulsion of the polymerizable monomer in an aq. solvent in which a dispersion stabilizer exists and a polymn. stage for producing the electrostatic charge image developing toner particles by subjecting the emulsion consisting of the polymerizable monomer to suspension polymn. in succession to this stage.
