PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing an emulsion type tacky agent composition having well-balanced tacky performances.

CONSTITUTION: This method for producing an emulsion type tacky agent composition is to emulsify and disperse a monomer mixture containing 75-99.45wt.% long-chain alkyl (meth)acrylate having a 9-13C alkyl group, 0.5-20wt.% aromatic vinyl monomer and 0.05-5wt.% monomer having ≥2 polymerizable double bonds in one molecule as essential components into fine particles having 2-0.1μm particle diameter in an aqueous solution of a surfactant and then polymerize the monomer mixture in the presence of a water-soluble polymerization initiator.
