Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an enzyme-containing composition useful as an ingredient for detergent, etc., by partitioning an enzyme produced from microbial cell to the phase containing a partitioned water-soluble polymer in an aqueous binary partition system and drying the separated enzyme to effect the separation and recovery of the enzyme from a culture solution containing microbial cells.
CONSTITUTION: An enzyme produced from microbial cells is partitioned to the phase containing a partitioned water-soluble polymer in an aqueous binary partition system and the enzyme separated together with the water-soluble polymer is dried. An enzyme-containing composition is obtained in a state of a mixture with a water-soluble polymeric substance such as polyethylene glycol and the composition is easily processed to a granulated enzyme or an enzyme preparation for leather processing.
