Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a modified polyarylene sulfide resin excellent in adhesion to metal and other inorganic material and in compatibility with other resin by reacting a specified resin with a reaction liquid formed in the synthesis of a polyarylene sulfide.
CONSTITUTION: A reaction liquid formed in the synthesis of a polyarylene sulfide (e.g. polyphenylene sulfide) is reacted with an epoxy resin (e.g. Epicote 828, a product of Yuka-Shell Epoxy Co.).
